Guided Wine Tours in Champagne
Come exlore the cellars of the prestigious Champagne Houses as well as the hidden gems of smaller Domaines of local, passionate growers. Over the course of our tours with your private local guide, discover the different steps and fascinating history of the Champagne-making process. Learn about the life of Dom Perignon and visit Hautvillers where he lived and worked at the beautiful abbey there. With visits of the spectacular cellars, tastings, and delicious lunches, you’ll leave the region filled with intense sensations as memories.
You’ll explore as well both Reims and Epernay. Reims is famous for its ancient underground chalk pits, which a few Champagne Houses bought and turned into cellars in the 18th century. In Epernay, the most prestigious Champagne Houses have all settled on the same street, which was consequently renamed the “Avenue de Champagne”. On each side of the Avenue, the beautiful mansions and villas of brands like Moët & Chandon, Perrier-Jouët or Pol Roger make us forget that the real wealth of Epernay resides underground: Champagne Moët & Chandon alone owns 18 miles of cellars below the town center, where millions of bottles age patiently.
